Deep Fry Calamari


 Deep Fry Calamari is a seafood dish that contains mostly sour sauce for a blast satisfaction. A seafood dish isn’t bad, like what others think. Deep Fry Calamari is a good example that a seafood dish isn’t bad at all. It is a good example for appetizers and a finger food. 


Ingredients:
·         1-3 medium squid (cleaned) (cut into rings)
·         1 tsp salt
·         ½ ground black pepper
·         2 beaten egg
·         All purpose flour
·         Bread crumbs

Sauce:
·         ¼ cup of vinegar
·         1 medium size onion (minced)
·         ½ tbs grated ginger
·         1 tbs grated garlic
·         Pinch of sugar
·         If you like it spicy you can put ( siling pahaba or “katumbal”)

Cooking Procedure:
·         On a bowl. Combine sliced squids, salt and pepper. Mix and let it stand for 15 minutes.
·         Dredge the squid in flour then dip beaten egg and roll over breadcrumbs.
·         Heat cooking oil in pan for few minutes.
·         When the oil is hot. Fry the squid rings until the color turns brown. NOTE: Do not overcook!
·         Set aside and drain in paper towel or a strainer.

For the sauce:

·         Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.

Serve and Enjoy.
