Chicken Curry



Tasty and delicious dish that can be quickly prepare any time. Mix of potatoes and carrots green peas and other veggie mix. You will surely love this dish also. 

 

 

 

  Ingredients


  • 1 ½ lbs. chicken (cut into serving pieces)
  • 1 medium potato (cleaned, peeled and diced)
  • ¾ cups green peas (cooked or frozen)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 ¼  tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ginger powder
  • 1 medium tomato (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • a dash of cayenne pepper powder
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 medium red bell  pepper (cleaned, thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp. chopped spring onions


Cooking Procedure


  1. In a bowl: Mix the ginger powder, turmeric powder, and. (Mix well)
  2. Rub the mixture all over the chicken. Set aside (15 minutes)
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a pot.
  4. Add: Chicken. Fry all sides of the chicken. Set aside
  5. On the used pot, sauté the onion, tomato, and garlic in the remaining cooking oil.
  6. Put the chicken. Cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Pour-in the coconut milk. Bring to a boil.
  8. Add: Curry powder. Cover and simmer for 25.
  9. Add a dash of cayenne pepper, potato. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir
  10. Add the green peas and bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  11. Add salt to taste. Stir.
  12. Sprinkle with spring onions. Transfer to a serving plate.
