Is one of the well-known Filipino dishes. Absolutely delicious and also
“pampagana” recipe of Filipino people. Better try cooking this and share it
with your, family, neighbors and friends.
This dish is composed of stewing chicken together in vinegar and soy sauce;
you will surely love this dish.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken, (cut into serving pieces)
3 pcs. dried bay leaves (laurel)
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 cups water
¼ cup cooking oil
½ tbsp white sugar
2 pcs .Green or Red Chilis (Siling Pahaba) (sliced diagonally)
Salt and whole peppercorn
Cooking Procedure
In a
large container, combine the soy sauce and garlic then marinade the
chicken for at least 3 hours
Drain
the chicken and reserve the sauce. Set aside.
In a
large pan, heat oil and fry the marinated chicken (cook all sides) for up to 3
minutes or until golden brown.
Pour-in
the remaining marinade. Then add water.
Bring to a boil.
Add the
dried bay leaves and whole peppercorn. Simmer until the chicken is tender.
Add
vinegar. Cook for another 10 minutes.
Add: sugar,
green chilis and salt. Stir and remove from heat and transfer to a serving
bowl.
Serve
and enjoy.
