Adobong Pusit

Is a tasty squid dish cooked using the popular Filipino adobo method. Squid is first boiled in soy sauce and vinegar then later sautéed in garlic, onions and tomatoes; the texture of the squid becomes rubbery due to over cooking, this brings in an awesome taste experience and rich in flavors that make this dish more exciting.  


Ingredients
o    ½ kilo posit (squid) (wash and cleaned removed membranes, eyes and stomach)
o    ¼ cup water
o    ½ cup vinegar
o    ½ cup soy sauce
o    2 pcs. Dried bay leaves (laurel)
o    ½ tsp. whole peppercorns
o    Salt and sugar to taste
o    5 cloves garlic (minced)
o    2 tbsp. oil
o    1 small onion (sliced)
o    3 green chilis (siling pahaba) (sliced diagonally – optional )
o    2 tomatoes (sliced)


Cooking Procedures:

1.      In a saucepan, boil pusit (squid) in water, vinegar, peppercorns, salt.
2.      Cover and cook until tender. Drain and set aside. Reserve sauce.
3.      In a separate pan, sauté garlic in hot oil. Add onions and tomatoes, cook until medium brown.
4.      Add pusit (squid) and let simmer for 5 minutes.
5.      Add reserved sauce, soy sauce, green chilis, bay leaves and a little sugar to taste.
6.      Simmer until sauce is reduced.
7.      Remove from heat and serve with steamed rice.

Chicken Salad with Grapes and Cashew Nuts

This salad recipe is another kind of chicken salad, together with the blend of cashew nuts, corns and flavorful grapes. This salad recipe is kinda flavorful one. More exciting taste in every bite. Enjoy!






Ingredients:
·         5 cups Mayonnaise
·         2 cups potatoes (cooked & diced)
·         1 cup seedless grapes (sliced lengthwise)
·         1 cup kernel corn (drained)
·         ½ cup salted cashew
·         2 cups chicken cubed (cooked)
·         1 cup pickle relish
·         Pinch of salt, Ground Pepper, sugar ( to taste)
·         1 medium size onion (chopped)

Cooking Procedure:
·         In a large bowl. Mix all ingredients.

Gising - Gising

Excellent source of vitamins B6, C, K manganese, zinc and fiber. While the coconut milk is rich in iron.  This gising-gising recipe is a ground pork and green bean dish cooked in coconut milk. Together with shrimp paste it helps to enhance the flavor to make this dish more exciting.  Best serve with plain rice.

Ingredients:
§  1 lb. green beans, chopped (about ½ inches)
§  ½  lb. ground pork
§  1 ½ tbsp. shrimp paste
§  2 cups coconut milk
§  3 cloves garlic (crushed)
§  1 medium onion (minced)
§  2 tbsp. cooking oil
§  3 pcs. chili  (chopped)
§  ½ tsp. ground black pepper


Cooking Procedure
1.       Heat oil in a pan
2.      Sauté garlic and onion
3.      Add pork. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until color turns brown
4.      Put-in ground black pepper, shrimp paste, and chili. Stir.
5.      Pour-in coconut milk. Let boil and cook for 15 minutes.
6.      Add the green beans. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes while stirring slowly.
7.      Turn off the heat. Transfer on a serving plate.

Buffalo Wings

Fried chicken unbreaded and coated in hot sauce. This is commonly served hot, together with celery sticks with cheese dipping. Enjoy eating this together with your friend or with your family you’ll surely the taste of spices.





Ingredients:
10 pieces chicken wings
½ teaspoon chili powder
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon paprika
5 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. hot sauce
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ tsp.  garlic powder
4 cups cooking oil

Cooking Procedure:

Combine flour, chili powder, salt, and paprika in a mixing bowl (Mix well)
Put the chicken in bowl and coat with the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a cooking pot.
Deep fry the chicken wings until golden brown. Set aside.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan.
Put-in hot sauce, ground black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir.
Pour-in the butter mixture over the fried chicken wings. Mix to distribute the sauce evenly.
Transfer on a serving plate.
Serve with your favorite dip.

Pork Kaldereta

Is a simple dish composed of cubed pork belly, potato, carrots, tomato sauce, liver spread and other vegetables.
Also one of the popular dish here in the Philippines, very delicious and commonly served during dinner time, parties, festivals and other special occasions. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Pork (cleaned, cubed)
15 oz. Tomato sauce
1 medium red bell pepper (sliced)
 1 medium green bell pepper (sliced)
2 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)
2 medium carrots (sliced diagonally)
1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
2 tsp. garlic (minced)
4 cups beef broth
½ cup liver spread
½ cup cooked green peas
3 tbsp.  cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste


Cooking Procedure:
Heat the oil in a cooking pot then sauté the garlic and onion.
Add the pork. Stir and cook until the color turns to medium brown.
Pour-in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Let boil. Cover and simmer for 60 minutes.
Add the liver spread. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.
Put-in the carrots and potatoes. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the cooked green peas and bell peppers. Cook for another 8 minutes.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Turn-off the heat. Transfer to a serving plate.

Beef Steak

Simple yet flavorful dish, which you’ll surely enjoy eating it together with rice.  Beef steak is also known as “bistek” in Tagalog, a thinly beef slices mix with calamansi, with a great taste of soy sauce and ground pepper which can definitely give you a delicious taste for your steak. Enjoy!


Ingredients:
1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced
¼ cup soy sauce
3 pcs. calamansi
½ tsp. ground black pepper
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 large onion (sliced into rings)
3 tbsp. cooking oil
Salt to taste

Cooking Procedure:
Marinade beef in soy sauce, calamansi and ground black pepper for at least 1 hour
Heat the cooking oil in a pan sauté the onion rings until the texture becomes soft. Set aside
In the same pan, fry the marinated beef alone until color turns brown. Set aside
Put-in the garlic then sauté for a few minutes then pour the marinade sauce and bring to a boil.
Put in the fried beef and simmer until meat is tender. (Add water if necessary)
Add the stir-fried onions and salt to taste.


 Serve and Enjoy!

Kangkong with Bagoong

Kangkong
 This simple dish can be also considered as appetizer. Quick and easy dish, you don’t have to exert effort in cooking this kind of dish. Just prepare those simple ingredients. You’ll surely have an amazing appetizer.  Enjoy!

Ingredients
§  1 bunch Kangkong (water spinach) , chopped into 5 inch pieces
§  ½ tbsp. sesame oil
§  ¼  tsp. soy sauce
§  ¼  cup ginisang bagoong
§  6 cups water for boiling
§  10  cups cold water

Cooking Procedure
1.       Pour water in a cooking pot and let boil.
2.      Put-in kangkong(water spinach) and cook 4 minutes.
3.      In a strainer, drain kangkong(water spinach) and rinse it with cold water. Set aside
4.      Combine sesame oil and soy sauce. Then brush kangkong(water spinach) with this mixture.
5.      Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with bagoong.
